County Fair: “Nebraska Kid judging livestock gets distracted by friends on the Midway”
Almost every county in Nebraska (93 of them) has an annual county fair, usually with amusement rides. The ultimate sense of place in rural Nebraska. These events provide community contact, forums for issues, and, most important, family fun. New ideas are shared, as well as stories. In my scene, there is the traditional livestock judging by my iconic self, the Nebraska Kid, as well as action from the midway with caricatures of Marlon Brando and Johnny Carson, both famous Nebraskans. Also added are old cartoon characters to add fun to the parody.
